Responsibilities:As a barback, your role is integral to ensuring our bar operates smoothly. Your key responsibilities include: Welcoming customers, understanding their preferences, and making recommendations. Preparing and serving beverages and food with attention to detail. Upselling items and creating innovative cocktail recipes. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Restocking and ensuring the bar complies with health department standards. Additional Duties: Greeting patrons, answering questions, and taking orders. Planning restocks around drink menus. Assisting with mixing and garnishing drinks to perfection. Checking IDs to ensure legal age for alcohol purchases. Managing inventory and ordering supplies. Adhering to food safety and quality regulations. Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions. Qualifications:To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: High school diploma (additional education or experience is a plus). Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. A positive, engaging personality with a professional appearance. Basic math and computer skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong task and time management abilities. An eye for detail and understanding of drink-mixing tools and techniques. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
